Mr. Shehu Usman Mohammed was born in Zamau, Kware Local Government Area of Sokoto State on 6th of September 1961.
He attended Sami Gomo Primary School Zuru between 1970 to 1976, Government Secondary School, Zuru between 1976 to 1981, State College of Art and Science Sokoto between 1981 to 1983, graduated from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, in 1986, did his National Youth Service Corps in Bauchi State between 1986 to 1987 and in 2007 he obtained his second degree. He attended the Senior Executive Course 30, of the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos.
He started working with Sokoto State Government as an Administrative Officer in October 1987. He held the following positions:- Assistant Secretary Ministry of Health Sokoto 1987 to 1988, Assistant Secretary Sokoto State Scholarship Board 1988 to 1990, Deputy Secretary Sokoto State Council 1990 to 1992, Private Secretary to the State Governor and Secretary Sokoto State Elders Committee 1992 to 1993, Director in the office of SSG 1993 to 1996, Principal Secretary to the Governor and Acting Permanent Secretary, Government House, Sokoto 1996 to 1997, Sokoto State Liaison Officer for Abuja, Lagos and Kaduna offices 1997 to 1998, He Transferred his service to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation November 1998, worked at the State House Clinic Aso Rock Abuja 1999 to 2000, worked under the office of the Special Adviser (Political Matters) to the Vice President 2000 to 2002, worked in the Head of Civil Service of the Federation 2002 to 2004, Transferred service to the Federal Judicial Service Commission under Supreme Court of Nigeria as Deputy Director September 2004 and advance to the rank of Director in December 2006.
He attended many Seminars and Workshops both locally and internationally.
He is happily married with children.
