Ahmed Maude Ibrahim, was born on 25th June, 1957 at Katsina in Katsina State. He attended Rafindadi Primary School between 1964 and 1970 where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. He proceeded to Government Secondary School, Daura between 1971 and 1975. He also attended Government College, Katsina between 1975 and 1976 where he obtained his West African Secondary School Certificate. He gained admission into Katsina College of Arts, Science and Technology, Zaria (CAST) where he obtained his IJMB Certificate in 1978. He was at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria from 1978 to 1981 where he obtained his BLS Degree in Library Science and Graduate Certificate of Education (G.C.E.D).
He started his working career as Librarian II in Kaduna Polytechnic from 1982 to 1984. He was admitted at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he obtained his Masters Degree in Library Science (Management Studies) in 1987. After the Master’s Programme he was deployed as Head of Acquisition Unit from 1986 to 1988 and College Librarian, College of Environmental Studies from 1988 to 1990 in Kaduna Polytechnic.
He was appointed Assistant Director in Katsina State Library Board in 1991 and College Librarian Isa Kaita College of Education Dutsin-ma (on Special Posting) in the same year. He joined Supreme Court of Nigeria Library Services as an Assistant Director in 2001. He was promoted to Deputy Director in 2006 and up-graded to Director in 2007.
He is a member of National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) mni, Set 34, 2012. He attended a number of local and foreign Professional training programme and conferences including the member USA Prestigious International Visitor Programme (IVP) and is a member of many professional bodies including member Nigeria Library Association Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN) and Nigeria Association of Law Libraries (NALL).
In the course of his service career, Ahmed received commendation letters for good performance. He is happily married with children. His hobbies includes, jogging and reading.
