Engr. Musa Batet, was born on the 10th April, 1959 at Angwar Baki Kaninkon in Jema'a Local Government Area, of Kaduna State.
He attended LEA Primary School Angwar Fari Kaninko 1967 – 1973, Government College Kaduna 1974 – 1979, Katsina College of Arts, Science and Technology, Zaria 1979 -1981, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria 1981 – 1985. He graduated in 1985 with B.Eng. (Mech) degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). He is a Member/Fellow of many professional bodies.
Engr. Batet had his industrial training at Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited, Kaduna, involving in maintenance of plants and machinery between 1983–1984. He worked as an Industrial Engineer with the defunct Nigerian Industrial Development Bank Limited, North East Area Office, Bauchi, between 1985-1986, under the National Youth Service Corps. He also worked with Yaroson and Partners Consulting Engineers (Nig.) Kaduna, as consulting mechanical engineer.
Between 1987 - 1997, Engr. Batet joined the Ministry of Works and Transport, Kaduna State in 1987 as pupil Mechanical Engineer. He rose to the rank of Principal Mechanical Engineer and also was in-charge of the Central Mechanical Workshop, Ministry of Works and Transport, Kaduna, and Member of the Board of Survey Kaduna State.
In 1997, he joined the Supreme Court of Nigeria as Assistant Chief Engineer. He has been involved in the supervision of the repairs and maintenance of all facilities in the Court Complex and the Hon. Justices residences. He was promoted to the rank of Director (Engineering Services) in 2015. He is the head of the department. He has attended many workshops Locally and Internationally. He is happily married with four (4) children.
On recognition of his contributions to the development of his community, Engr. Batet was conferred with a Traditional Title, Shettima of Kaninkon Chiefdom in 2012.
His hobbies are walking, reading and loves playing with kids.
