Adama Ibijoju Belgore

Belgore A. I. (Mrs.) a third daughter in a family of eighteen; born to the family of Alhaji and Alhaja Bassambo, in Ilorin Kwara State North Central Nigeria, December 27, 1962.

Had her Primary Education in Christ Church Primary School, Katsina Road Kaduna and continued her Secondary Education in the Federal Government Girls’ College Bauchi, Bauchi State. Her brightness and brilliant performance in her early education - propelled her strong quest for higher studies; thus gained admission into one of the prestigious Premier University, the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State where she studied political science and graduated with B SC degree in the same field in 1985 and MBA degree in University of Ilorin 2001.

As a beautiful bride, she was attracted to young Ahmad O. Belgore (now Justice of Court of Appeal Ekiti) whom she got betrothed and subsequently got married to him in August 1983. The marriage is blessed with many children.

In furtherance to her quest to contribute her quota to humanity, she took a pay employment in one of the lucrative Sectors of the economy – the Banking Sector. She became one of the vibrant and promising staff of the erstwhile Trade Bank, and rose to the position of a Branch Manager. Mrs. Belgore was dutiful, hardworking and diligence in her service to the Bank – a commitment which earns her many commendation letters.

Again, armed with undaunted zeal and resilience spirit, she was in fact preoccupied by what the waves of globalization would bring - in a fast industrialized world – heightened by high expectations of the requirement of highly mobile individuals with multi-tasking skills level; Ibijoju Adama opts out of the Banking Sector to venture into other Sectors; she took up appointment with the Supreme Court of Nigeria as an Assistant Director (Administration) on 2nd November 2006. Promoted to Deputy Director (Administration) with effect from 1st January 2011.

Mrs. A. I became a substantive Director of Planning, Research and Statistics with effect from January 2017.

She had attended many national and international courses. In all of the courses her performance has been outstanding and had contributed immensely on the quality of her performance on the job.

Some of the courses are:

  1. Loading and Managing Change in Public Service Reforms19 - 30; Kuala Lumpur and Singapore 2007.
  2. Judicial and Court Administration and Case Load Management; August 9 – 20, 2016. And International Law Institute, Washington DC.
  3. Open Text Enterprise Sever Knowledge Fundamentals Oracle, UK, 2010.

As a faithful Muslim, she kept her faith burning as she observed her daily prayers and performs her religious rites unhindered.

She loves reading as a hobby.
